Question:

Wife of Bath?

Describe the wife of bath? Whats likeable about her and what is not?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: the wife of bath is one of the pilgrims of whom there is actually an illustration in the ellesmere manuscript.

she is certainly not young anymore. she seems to have put on a bit of weight over the years (though she is fuller figure rather than huge) and chaucer particularly mentioned that she is 'gat-tothed' (either she has very big front teeth, or else front teeth with a gap between them:- either way she has a very noticeable smile).

alyson is loudmouthed with a ribald sense of humour, but quite kindly with it. if you like your women small and demure, you won't like her. if you like your women big and bold, you will like her a lot. Source(s):
