Question:

Should Oprah be granted sainthood?

Would she be the first black saint ? Is it racist that there are no black saints ? Wouldn't that be the most politically correct thing to do ?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: i do not think oprah has grown cocky oh plzzzz she is and has always been that way "granted sainthood". LOL, give me a break.... NO Ha ha, lol, the same as the above! Oprah is not a saint, not because of her colour, but let's be honest. Sure, she is a cool human being, I think's she's done amazing stuff. But, shoot me down in flames if I'm wrong, how many of us, if we had the same opportunity and public voice as her, wouldn't also do our bit to back up what we're passionate about? If I was already a famous and much loved talk show host, I'd be doing my best to fight child slavery, animal crueltly and also be supporting women's refuge centres world wide. And, my viewers would watch me on TV and of course, they'd think I'm the greatest thing since sliced bread. And, yes, it'd be a noble thing on my part to do what I can, but I think it'd be a duty and a priviege, something that most humans should do if they could. Not because I'm any closer to God than the next person. Oprah's so cool, but I reckon if we could ask her, she'd hate the thought of being stuck up on some make believe pedestal like that. ( Well, I hope she would!). no. she grew cocky these days no, in the last few years she has become very much an individual that enjoys the attention she receives, but, she doesn't seem sincere. granted, she has done some awesome things, but still her persona is very standoffish. Compare her to Mother Theresa and ask yourself your own question.
