Question:

How did you achieve your love of a sport/art/talent?

What got you to love a special sport, some form of art, or even a talent you're good at?

Like who taught you the basics of football?

Got you interested in being in band?

Inspired you to be the best bubble-gum blower?

Anything?

For some reason, unlike other teenagers, I don't have any of that. I don't have a special skill, art, sport, or talent.

It's like I haven't lived. I don't understand how people have developed these talents and skills and knowledge of something their passionate about.

So can you please give me your story?

And how can I find some kind of skill/talent to use in high school, before it's over?

I don't have any special interests, and I'm willing to listen to any idea.

This is very important, because if I don't obtain some skill/talent, no employer or college will want a nobody like me. I'll be a failure. Smarts does little these days.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I was the second child of 4 girls. Even though I was not the eldest, I was the one who always did the baby-sitting. I got my little sisters and some of their neighborhood friends together for art classes in our home. We lived in this big parsonage. There was this enormous sun room upstairs with loads of light. I just naturally started teaching my little friends how to draw, color with crayons and colored pencils-also paintbox watercolors. We would have art exhibits and charge the parents pennies to get in. Later, in the 8th grade, I took an art class, and actually did many oil paintings in there. I took another art class in the 10th grade. My teacher in that class was not as good as the 8th grade. I never forgot about art. I was always doing background scenes for school plays and posters for school elections-also posters for church. When I went off to college, I majored in art, and never did change it. I met my husband and quit to get married. Later on in life, after 2 children in college, I went back to college, and ended up getting a degree in art education. I taught for 20 years, Now, I do art on my own. I have a good retirement. I sell some of my things from time to time.
Hope this helps. Grams
