just confused, putting it to vote there are many mysteries surrounding the mona lise or jaconde, mostly due to the fact that her identity is not known.
some have speculated due to the resemblence of a self portrait that it is actualy leonardo da vinci himself as a woman a theory fuelled by the fact that he was bi-sexual or gay. however new technology which scanned the painting has showed a layering of detail in her clothes (there is huge detail in the painting that has sadly benn worn by time) which is consistant of the dress of a womwn that has already given birth. so assuming that leo never gave birth any children we can defo say its not him! :) ...or he may have had a sense of humour! either way the only people wgo can actually know is leo and mona! have you seen the moustache?

Defn a MAN Android! Perhaps she was androgynous. shes a woman coz if shes a man he then should be called monalizo..... It is a known fact that Leonardo was gay. That is the reason why some have speculated that Monnalisa may be a man, but not many believe it. For the Renaissance man, Mona Lisa wasn't a bad looking woman. Real nice smile too. I believe it to be a man, a young beautiful man. There is some speculation that this was an attempt at a self-portrait by Leonardo.
