I got an essay about the Vatican: Vatican & Art.?

I want to put these 3 questions in my essay:
- How was Christianity depicted in Middle Ages and Renaissance?
- Which pieces of art ( paintings, sculptures etc.) were made in order of the Vatican?
- Was there censorship on art by the Vatican and how much censorship was that?

Of course I'm gonna make it myself but i just wanna hear ur oppinions on these matters
