Help with art?

Hello, I have this topic about immigration, and are there any creative ideas out there to make a good art project? I want to have a unique one, not just a 3-d model of people crossing the borders. Are there any other different but good things I can do about immigration?

I'd go to the Ellis Island Home page and dig around. They'll have information on tons of things you may not have thought of. One thing I found interesting was the tests they would give to see if immigrants were healthy enough to enter the country. Sometimes entire families were split up when the mother/father or a few siblings didn't pass and had to get right back onto a ship & head back home without the members of their family! Can you imagine? What if you drew or cut out/printed out a "model" immigrant that would be acceptable and cut out all kinds of other people who more than likely would NOT pass and surround him with those other people. You could make an interesting collage and call it somehting like "acceptable" in some foreign language.
