Does anyone know a poem like this?
FRIENDS
Young love,
Like a flower,
Blossoms,
And dies out.
But when it ends,
The ones that care,
Are the friends,
That were always there.
They are the ones,
Who will stick by you,
Who will treat you with respect,
And will never let you down,
They??ll always be there,
To catch you,
When you fall,
To guide you,
When times are hard,
To stand by you,
When your life gets rough.
They will always be there,
No matter what happens,
And you can always count on them;
Friends,
They??ll be there till the end.
I wrote theis poem, and i want to send in to the youth part of my towns paper, but mum friends mum says it's almost exactly the same another poem. I dont want o send it in if it is, because someone might claim that i copied it.

maybe she meant that it's a typical poem. the words you wrote are general facts about friends, and are usually seen in songs. why not describe a friend? or compare it to something? like a bracelet (the chains keep the friendship together.. etc etc) or a diary (keeps secrets, and it has a lot of pages). :P
