Why are people soo self centered? Get over your self already, really.?

People are such narcissists, they are soo obssesed with them selves. Do you think that it's because people lie to them too much, and tell them they're perfect, because I think that has something to do with it, but why else?

Not everyone is like that. It's just a normal personality trait many people have.

Next time someone is bragging about themselves, i.e, "Oh my God! I'm going to Paris this summer! Blah, blah blah.." Just reply with a simple, "Oh, that's great, I'm happy for you" then quickly change the subject to something else.

And no, I don't think people are self centered because they're lied to. It could be because they don't get enough attention from their own family members, and feel excluded, so they dote on themselves.
