In the beggining, an older woman is in her attic when she finds a diary of hers and starts to read (and the middle of the story is the diary entry). In it, she talks about here day. In the evening her brother returns home from a war but he has changed a lot. His sister (writer of diary) gets upset because she doesn't understand the changes war can bring and she flees from the room upset and confused. Then it brings us back to the attic where she says she understands her brothers feelings, because she was a nurse in a war, Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
