Shells
Days of endless idle busyness
Feed upon the life within
Leaving a shell
A fragile
Deceptively peaceful
Veneer
Enough like herself
That glancing into the mirror
Upon passing
She briefly reassured
She is present
And whole
Ever turning quickly away for fear of meeting the eyes
In the mirror
Of seeing beyond
To the vast hollowness
And the truth
I wrote that a few years ago, i just found it again going through some old papers.. By reading it again, i can see where I was back then....and just how much I've changed since it was written^_^
