Question:

Calling all fabulous, creative people???

Any good ideas for creative entries in a project I have to do for my social studies class? Okay, thats not specific enough. For this project we have to submit weekly 'journals" about the various books we read. For example, I recently made paper dolls of the characters in my book. I have done posters such as movie posters, wanted posters, and missing posters for characters in the books. I'v also done drawings and murals. Stuff like that...Any more ideas? Thanks in advance!

Oh, by the way I'm reading "Puerto Vallarta Squeeze" by Robert James Waller, right now.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:

Maybe a collage made of pictures cut out of magazines. How about a comic strip based on the books? You could use clip art or found images, also similar to a collage - or assemble it all on the computer rather than with realia.

If you're feeling really ambitious maybe you could write a song, rap, or poem about the material in the books. Or write a little script and make puppets of the primary characters to give a show. Make the characters into animals and turn it into a fable.

Create maps of the events, or fake newspaper articles about them. If these are events from the past you could bring them into modern times, or set them in the past if they are current events, like as a Victorian melodrama. Set them in outer space, on another planet.

Make an imaginary scrapbook of one of the main characters, with fake photographs, post cards, and news clippings. Dramatize a short radio drama, (podcast), or fake newscast about it, and burn it on a CD as an MP3.

Build a diorama of an event but make it really campy and silly and fun, and throw realism out of the window. Use crazy, wildly different (non-matching) toys to represent the characters.

Put one of the characters on a Wheaties box, or another cereal. Make up a fake tabloid story about the characters, like they were Hollywood celebrities.

That's a start at least...

EDITED TO ADD:
Make a fake MySpace page for the main characters, chronicling the events, and print it out for your journal or put it on CD.
