well in the western world (uk) we dont get to view much indian broadcasting - our terrestrial telivision channels ( 5 free channels) - happen to be more mass media stuff

cultural information around the globe only tends to be on bbc2 in the late of the night or very early in the morning

the actuall news stories that do come from the east is most often then not either about this celeb adopted a baby in this country or more killing deaths or murders against different racial groups and tribes etc

personally i signed up for several news updates from a number of sources to actually get more detailed news - such as amnesty international.

btw do you happen to do media studies?
