check out robert browning's "the last dutchess" and alfred lord tennyson's "in memoriam"
famous quote from tennyson's work, which i'm sure you've heard before:

I hold it true, whate'er befall;
I feel it when I sorrow most;
'Tis better to have loved and lost
Than never to have loved at all.

the last dutchess is about a king's wife who may or may not have been poisoned and he was often jealous that she was not 100% into him. now, he keeps a painting of her drawn behind a curtain that only HE can open and look at her. she only smiles for him.

in memoriam is a very long poem (i'd just use parts of it for your project) and is considered a eulogy from tennyson to his dear friend arthur hallam.

as for your questions...well, you can read them and answer them for yourself!

take care:)
