Question:

What's the point in life?

I want to know the answer before it's too late and I've decided at the last minute i should've spent it in a different way. Should you spend it being a mother? Having fun? Doing what you love? Having loads of friends? Making loads of money? Please send me your opinions.

I don't know how to follow my heart - to me, my heart is just a big organ that pumps blood around the body - it has nothing to do with my feelings or choises. I also don't agree that life is too short - personally I think it's too long - it's just the creation of the human being that never wants it to end...

I was a late bloomer by society's definition. I didn't know what I wanted to do professionally for many years. I started a family, which was great, and then began to volunteer. There I met people, developed skills, and accumulated enough volunteer experience to supplement my education and get me a job doing what I liked for good pay.

There are many roads I could have taken along the way, and sometimes I ponder where life would have taken me had I travelled a different road. Yes, friends and family are important. Being a parent is more satisfying than I could ever have imagined. Making money was never my top priority, but making a good living is definitely something to strive for.

Explore life and you'll find things in yourself you never knew were there. Good luck and don't worry about changing directions once in a while. Nothing wrong with shakin' it up now and then if that's what works.
