What kookiemonster is talking about is commonly know as a poor man's copyright. They call it "poor man" because it is the easiest way to get your fortune stolen right from under you. Just ask most of the MOTOWN artists. When the story is done, you can go online at www.copyright.com. This will take you to a goverment site from which you can request a copyright form(small fee 25-45 dollars). Fill out the form, mail it back with the money order and a copy of the book. They will send you a pat.pending # and you are all set. It may actually be a year or more befor you actually get the patent, but the pending # is what will make you legal. Good Luck!
