Men are always right and you females are always left in more ways than one.

In the begining it was said and so on.

Now the next question is do they mean if you are facing them that the man will be on the right and the woman on the left or does it mean that the woman is on the left of the man.

Well have you very often heard the saying the right hand woman. Not much but right hand man is very comon. That is used for either sex.
