fengshui works all the time, even if you're not aware of it. it is not a belief/ philosophy/ religion. it is not a decorating style. it is not about cleaning up your house to be lucky.

fengshui is knowing where the good energy and bad energy in house, and how to use these energies to make life easier. energy is not vibes or the feel of a room when you enter into one.

energy in fengshui can be described by numbers 1 to 9. each number represents an element, a body part, a material, a family member, a gender, a characteristic, etc. - for example: 1 is water and sex
2 is illness, has no life, earth
3 is conflict, wood
4 is wood, death on some occasions, but can be good when combined with another number to form special combinations
5 is earth, catastrophic, center of the earth, has no life/ health and has no wealth
6 is metal, represents the head or being number 1 or being best in one's field
7 is violence and metal
8 is money and earth
9 is fire, is a magnifier/ activator of energy

when numbers combine the energies react and interact to each other and form a new energy just like chemistry. for example, 25 or 52 forms cancer or dies easily, because both has no life and no wealth; 64 or 46 is suicidal because 6 is head and 4 represents rope

this knowledge is just less than a percent of what fengshui is about. fengshui consists of many concepts. what i mentioned above is about flying stars concept.

in flying stars, you start with a plot of land where your house is going to be built. divide the land into 3 rows and 3 columns like a tictactoe grid. then you need to know how to fly the stars (1 to 9). so, 3 sets representing water/money, mountain/health and time) of 1to9 revolves around the grid. the result is that each box has 3 numbers. you analyze whether the combination of number is good or bad. for example, a house that faces 175 degrees, built in period number 8 has a flying star chart of the following:

mountain - water - base/time

....SE...........S.........SW
....3-4-7....8-8-3....1-6-5
E.2-5-6....4-3-8....6-1-1..W
....7-9-2....9-7-4....5-2-9
..NE............N...........NW

each set of 3 combinations have a particular energy, some have both good and bad.

1-6-5 at southwest means:
Good:good for military and sports; descriptive oa a person attaing a high rank; good for people involved in literary pursuits
Bad:cause accidents that involves knives and blood (be careful with sharp objects); sharp structures outside the house indicates injury related to head or brain
> thus, you do not want to use this area as a kitchen, but you can use this as a bedroom, only if you make sure that sharp object would not enter this room

6-1-1 at the west
Good:excellent for anyone in power/ politics or in management; indicates financial intelligence
Bad:has no bad energy
> if you have a kitchen in this area, it means that you'd never go hungry; also good for small business at home or an office

there is a many uses of flying star concept/ method. you can use it predict what might happen, so you can anticipate the future.

this is what fengshui is about. but there are many concepts out there. and most of these concepts can only be learned by attending a seminar held by a fengshui professional or master. most books published do not talk about the secret uses of these concepts.

in real life, most fengshui practitioners mix these concepts to support whatever solution they are using. like me, whenever i use something like a waterfall, i make sure that that waterfall supports at least 2-3 concepts to make it even more effective.

sorry, but i do not think that there is an easy how to procedure for this one. the easiest i can think of is you can buy a book by lillian too talking about 8 mansions; but even her books does not talk about how to use your kitchen to attract wealth.

if you want to learn more about flying stars, get the book by miss eva wong.
