What form would we need to be to leave the planet?

Looking for educated guess to my silly question. What do you think will allow humans to space travel, such guesses as sound waves, light waves, etc?

The vastness of percieved space and the limited technologies we have require some options, I agree.

During experiments it has been shown that humans can in fact remove the consciouness from the body; this is also prooven in NDE or near death experiences.

When this can be accomplished with resonable stability we will no longer require spacecraft to travel great perceived distances; our treks will be non-intrusive; the only issue will be who will beleive and who will not?
