I think time, is the only thing measured all around the world in the same scale and units, like seconds, minutes, hours ... years

Distance, weight, clothes, shoes don't! Isn't that strange???

I think the answer lays back in the past!
i guess the measurements were stated in different countries and stayed there. In America, for example, pounds and ounces are used like in England. so i think with the colonialization of early america, people brought those measurements and they simply stayed.
But now with globalization and all we just notice it more.
