My says that i cant get my siver ring resized. is that true?

i need to get it resized like 3-4 sized down can i get it done?

if you are sizing down what the jewler does is cut the ring and if its a large size change he might remove a piece of metal. its important that your ring be solid silver and not silver plate because the plate can flake off when you cut it. it also depents on what kind of setting the ring is because to change the inner dimesions drasticaly could warp the metal and ruin the ring. i would recomend taking it to a jewelry store that resizes most of them do. the will be able to tell you after looking at your piece if it can be done without ruining it.
