Visit your local library. The books are grouped by subject so you will find a lot of the architecture books together. Check out some that catch your eye. Browse them. Look at the pictures, see what makes this style different. Figure out which ones appeal to you. Do you want all the frills and fussiness of Rococco or simplicity of Arts and Crafts Movement?

Don't expect to learn it all in a week or a month. This is a lifetime project. You'll discover new elements each time you find new books.
