Difference between is accustomed to and got accustomed to?

In english I often got confused with the sentence, Manish is used to sleeping late in the morning and Manish got to sleeping late in the morning.( He is accustomed to sleeping late in the morning ) and ( He became accustomed to sleeping late in the morning. What is the difference meaning of these two sentences.

the difference would be the generalization of time. saying he is accustomed to it means at the time he is accustomed to sleeping late, but prior to the present time is unknown. saying he has become accustomed to sleeping late, that means he is now accustomed to it, but in the past he was not. my explination may be a little confusing...
