Really there is no definition about Post-Modernism. You can wikipedia all you like, but you won't get a direct answer. Modernism ended MAYBE around 1945... although some may argue it. And many people just assume postmodernism began immediately afterwards. However, how do you explain the postmodernsim saturated in Tristam Shandy (written in the 18th century). I'd recommend buying Terry Eagleton's Introduction to theory book because wikipedia really won't do it justice. |
