The last time I attended art activity was learning basic ceramic lessons. I taught art for about 5 years in primary school before quitting my teaching job last year. I am not art trained and whateverI taught the kids are based on my imagination. The sad truth is, many people, even among the children, aren't that keen in art n craft. Only the minority is interested and even then, the interest may be somewhat narrowed to certain kinds of art. I would personally hope to practise ceramics on a long term basis from some retirees who don't mind teaching me for fun cos the art courses here are really expensive. However, it's pretty hard to find. The lady whom I learnt from couldn't seem to teach me beyond simple animal scultpures that even kids can do. I can't practise on my own though since I am just a beginner and don't even know how to glare, not to mention operate the kiln. I have seen a lot of hoursewives or retirees in US websites enjoying all these in the convenience of their backyard and even earning pocket money selling their stuff on ebay. How I wish I could. Have to admit though that like all typical Singaporean, it can get very stressful when my module starts for the next semester. By the way, your account block contacts from being added. ^^
