Question:

Can you explain Zarathustra's prologue in "Thus Spoke Zarathustra"?

I just started reading the book and am a bit lost by the whole"under" and "overman" idea. And who is Zarathustra..with such a name?

Zarathustra is supposedly Niche's interpretation of Zoaraster, the phrophet who started Zoarastrianism - although Niche's book doesn't really seem to have anything to do with that religion, so why he chose that particular person to base it off of is beyond me.

It's been a while since I read it, but as far as I recall, the "underman" and "overman" idea is all about different types of people - i.e. the kind of person who lives his life in submission to others or does not become the best he can be versus the kind of person who takes control of his own life and becomes the best he can be at what he is.
