The book's about Haley who is in 8th grade. She lives in the tourist-trap of Orlando, FL. She has three best friends: Em, Jolee, and Danica. She has liked a boy, Ricky, for three years. Haley plays the bass in the school orchestra. The other bass player, Eric, lets just say he's not eye candy. One day in orch class, he conducts for the class, and he specifically says to Haley,"Play louder, you're nothing without me". Ever since then, Haley's best friends have been teasing her about him and hinting her that she likes him but just won't admit. Three months later (after a lot of major things happened, like the two of them being alone at night) Haley tells her friends she doesn't like Ricky anymore, but she likes Eric now. Haley writes a note to Eric "subtly" asking him out. Very late at night, Eric sends Haley an email telling her they should just be friends. Haley is almost releived, because deep down, she never really liked him. [Continued over to details----------]

And that she felt sorry for him, because he wasn't really that attractive. Her frieds didn't beleive her for one second. Later, Haley finds out that Eric was just trying to play with her feelings by instant messeging Jolee (Because they are friends) and talking about Haley. Before, Jolee listened through the phone at her friend Dani's house and she was on the phone with him and he said he liked someone who's name stated with an H. So anyways, Haley was really mad. Before a concert, Haley completely screwed up his bass, and Eric had to spend about 5 minutes retuning it. This story still needs to be worked out a little bit. soooo comments, suggestions, ideas? thank u!

actually, this was a true story. I am haley, and It's summer and I'm going into high school. So, no creativity really involved unless I change some stuff.

So what is the main plot about? This relationship stuff is a good filler, but there has to be something else to keep the reader interested.
