An authentically American art movement, which encompasses all three movements you mentioned, was born during the post WWII era, and is known as "Abstract Expressionism"... which was, in part, a response to pre WWII European schools of art... primarily representational art and the Impressionist movement. Abstract Expressionism was the first true American school of art... much like Jazz was the first true American school of music.
