Question:

What is art to you?

Finish this sentance: "Art is..."

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:

Art is something that is inside of me that doesn't want to stay there. It comes out in paintings, arrangement of my furniture or goods when and where it pleases me, and especially when I place a blank canvas on my table - pencils and paint brushes with paint waiting - yes just waiting.
Then, it happens - the first start of what I see on a blank canvas.

Sometimes when I have unresolved thoughts, it comes out in my artistic expressions. I resolve what I see in my heart, or my mind's eye on paper or canvas. Sometimes I draw on the canvas and don't paint it until again the time comes when I can't "not paint it" and it must develop from my thoughts to the expression. Sometimes I must cover the painting with more paint because it is too clear to me - so I add more and more paint - but I still see the expression - my thought.

Art is! That is a complete sentence!

GOD bless us one and all, always.
