Whether its abstract art, conventional art, a poem, a song, a sonata...I believe a beautiful piece of art, is whatever touches the heart, evokes forgotten memories ( pleasant and unpleasant ) and invokes emotive sensations to arise. It is an unexplained "experience" transmitted from artist to viewer of the piece

eg. Religious arts - looking at a painting may invoke deep seated feelings of devotion, even if the painting's techniques and details are weak. Abstract art - if that piece brings up feelings and impressions that the artist had intended it to be, the BEAUTY of that piece has been "experienced" not just seen
