Question:

What are the main problems with radiocarbon dating? And how are they overcome??

it is inacurate, always inacurate, never test twice the same, the reason being, they have no base past 5,ooo years to date it against, it is guess work. you have to have a known, not speculated item to use as your time base, and on this earth there is nothing older than the writting in the Pyrimids that we can actually date 100%, so to say something is 50,000 or 5,000,000 years old is based on nothing past 5,000 years. that is why the interpetations are always different, and often radically. It cannot be corrected, it's a poor way of dating, kind of like the the 8 track player in music, it's outdated and there has to better ways out there.
