Was Billl Oddie ever an exchange student at Trinity College Dublin?

I know he went to Cambridge, but I was at Dublin from 1958 to 1962, and I think I was introduced to him before he became famous. His ODD name is memorable.
I know a guy who is a drama student who is going to Trinity as an exchange student, so I told him he had a famous predecessor.
