I've never worked in an office, but..
If you don't already, you should watch The Office on NBC. It might give you some ideas, or atleast something to make you laugh at after work. Then, at work you can look at the office website on nbc.com, it's pretty funny. It has pictures that people send in of pranks and such they've pulled at work.
It seems like, from stories my mom tells about work and the pictures on the office website, that to survive in an office setting, you've got to have fun with the people you're surrounded with. They're probably just as bored as you are.
