Principles?

I'm trying to become a better person, but it's really hard. I don't do anything really bad, I just do the wrong things sometimes, like we all do, and I'm really trying to not just know but do what's right. If anyone here can teach me better morales, and how to stick to my principles that would be a great help. I know it's kind of a strange question, but I really would like to be more honourable.

The best thing I follow is treat everyone the way you like to be treated.

If you always follow this, and there is nothing seriously wrong with your mental outlook ie how you like to be treated, it should wonderful.
