Thanks for answering, i just wondered , there seems to be a lot of people blaming Britain and saying we should pay compensation to some African nations because of it. i knew the answer just wondered how many other people did.. stars all round

They have been the largest colonizers throughout history, however many nations are responsible for slavery- whether internally within their own countries (like China, former USSR, USA, Africa...) or externally in other countries (like England, France, Spain...). Most countries have at one point been on the giving and receiving end.
