Hi. I have recently been contacted by a L.A. talent agency. They asked me to meet them at a local hotel. First, is this just a scam, like, "We cant use you now, but take our 6 week course and you just might?". and second off, how did they get my information?

Here, ill write the whole letter-
" A Leading Los Angeles talent manager will be in Oklahoma CCity and you're invited! This Personal Talent Manager has had talent appear in movies, TV shows, music videos, national commercials, and magazine covers such as, STomp the Yard, Dukes of Hazzard, The OC, 7th heaven, Seventeen Magazine, Usher, Arizona Jeans , and commercials for Target, Nike, 7 up, Coke, and many more.
This letter is only being sent to a select people, so dont miss the chance. Thursday, June 28 at the Marriot Waterford, 6300 Waterford BLVD, Oklahoma City. Dress casually and bring a snapshot. Training may be suggested. Under 18 must be accompanied by a parent.

Be very very very careful. People do not get contracted this way. You go on many interviews with real agencies and also real agencies do NOT meet you at hotels... this is definately a scam and might be dangerous on top of that... PLEASE do not go to this. If you are interested in an acting or modeling career then go about it the right way... usually if something is too good to be true it IS and you should always trust your gut!
