yes. but i do not vote for the caretaker of power of attourney to make the decision. there has to be psychological evlauations. the person completing the request must be protected from legal action unless undue stress or injury is experienced by the requestor. also to be used in terminal cases with extreme pain or limitiations. ultimately the only one that should have control over this is the one that owns the body the individual. all sorts of hoops need to be jumped to protect the patient and the dr.
