Here's a stupid question: Do you have to put your address on an envelope??

I mean on a personal letter, not like a buisness one. I should know the answer, but nowadays it's mostly E-mail that everyone uses!

I mean, i know what it's for and where it goes on an envelope, but I want to suprise my friend with a letter without her knowing right away who sent it to her!

It's not required by the USPS, but Miss Manners would tell you it's polite to do so. On the front of the envelope, in the upper left hand corner would go the return (or your) address.
