Like cold water to the body
In the day the mercury in a thermometer reaches the nadir
My father seems to me as a child

Like cold water to the soul
In the day the mercury peaks the thermometer
My father seems to me now as a young adult
Though he has not changed.

wow. i could be naive and say its a boys father who is suffering from hypothermia. Or, I could say its about life and how the father became wiser in his old age but did not change his morals....
