Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:

Surrealism and Dadaism are both styles that represent and altered reality. All of the artist create warped forms of real landscapes or objects.
Salvador Dali is by far the most outstanding surrealist with a huge cult following of his style and work. He was unusually obsessed with timepieces and reflected them as melting clocks within his landscapes. He also portrayed women is grotesque, mutilated ways. Some of his cult followers in another country murdered women in ways similar to his artworks. Weird, indeed, but it doesn't stop the fact that he was a brilliant artist.
Other outstanding artists include Rene Magritte & Joan Miro, see the first link below for others and a brief explaination of the style and check the second for some of Dali's works in a museum in his honor.
