Elliptical machines?

What's the best one for home use for under $800.

1) Are you going to use it? That's the biggest question. I thought I would use it, but when I bought mine it sat in a room for 9 months. Ask yourself if you're really going to use it or if you would be cheaper and better to just get a membership to your local gym.

2) Proform has some models under $300, but you're going to pay for your money's worth. If you take it under $300, you're going to be getting the bare minimum, possibly making it difficult for you to get into a workout plan if you can't figure it out.

3) Don't order online. Go to the store. If there's a problem, the store can help you. We picked up our ProForm Elliptical (650) at our local Dick's Sporting Goods, and when we brought it home we realized that we didn't have all the screws. We called the company and they said we did. We whined to Dick's and they put a new one together for us.

4) Try it out at the store first. Always try it out at the store. When I say try it out, I mean dress in your work-out gear and give it a good work out. If you can do a 15 minute work out, you can work up to an hour. If you can't, then you need to look at something else.
