Question:

50,000 years in the future, what will people remember from our current era?

Considering that 50,000 years from now, human civilization is still alive

well the best way to answer this question is by looking at what we think about the people who lived 50,000 years ago.

All we know about them we learned from the remains that we have found in caves. The cave art and small artifacts are our only way to determine anything about them. Our culture is creating a few things which will last for 50,000 years. Nuclear waste will just be starting to become safe. Any of our cities which stay above water will have a slim chance of being found. Over time plants will grow through the concrete and the metals will rust away into nothingness. This is assuming that this planet is still living on this planet.

NASA's base on the moon is scheduled to be up and running before 2075 so we can only assume that 50,000 years from now we will only remember Earth as a distant place where people may have originated.
