Question:

Do you like this poem?

"Falling Through the Night"

I??m lost in confusion
Falling through the night
Wasting my life for a crazy illusion
Chasing after my dreams, believing it??s right

I have lost my orientation long ago
I??m hearing disillusions?? broken screams
What I??m after I no longer know
I??m following the road to the emperors of ice-creams

Slices of my dreams lay scattered on the floor
Waiting to be put back together again
I??m waiting for somebody to take a peek from the door
To see me jumping off the train

Falling through the night
Disappearing into the furious rain
To my fragmented dreams holding on tight
Leaving some wondering whether I??m still sane

I like this poem. The line about ????following the road to the emperors of ice-creams?? will probably stick with me for the rest of the day??what an image.

It makes me think that we all go through crap??and at some point every dream winds up shattered. When that happens, when we find ourselves lost, our dreams broken, and before we pick up the fragments on move on, we just want someone to look on us and witness that we aimed high and didn??t quite make it.
