We just got a new pub table. It is stained like a cherry oak or Red Wood or something. It has a glossy coat on the top. I, like an idiot, sat a box of Christmas stuff on top of it and slid it off. Now I have like 20 really fine lined scratches all over the top. I need some good advice on what to do to fix this problem...fast! Is there something I can do other than sand it down and re finish it? Please help, my wife is very upset. Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
there are liquid scratch coverings ou can buy that will help, its like polish, barring that try finding a stain taht matches the table andusing a qtip or tissue work it into the areas then be sure to feather it in- EG rub it around the area so you cant tell you stained the area, then make sure you can t notice it, let it dry then do it again, ou should nto notice the difference on the unmarred area, if you do feather ( rub) harder keep doing it till the scratch disappears |
