For graphics programs, and not MS Word or others that do it automatically, I made myself a little graphic -actually, several of them: trademark, copyright, registered, servicemark, etc. The program I used was PrintShop, but most any graphics program would work. Simply create a circle, then insert the text you want into that circle. Thickness of the circle should be about the same as the thickness of the text. Save it as a jpeg or bitmap image, and when you need it, insert and reduce the size to fit. It should generally be about half the size of the text, and superscripted (raised up eaual to the top edge of the text. Not all programs will automatically generate a trademark sign like Word does, so this can come in handy -especially if you're working with graphics.
