Question:

HOBBIES/ SPORTS I want to be fun cuz i think I'm boring!?

All i do is play volleyball. I really like it and I have potential but i need a backup incase i dont make a team or i get sick of it. I am almost 15 years old. I am smart and I take or should take all AP classes. Lately schoolwork doesn't seem like an excuse for not doing anything extra curricular. I want to step up my education. I get all A's, but now i am getting B's in some classes and C's on tests!! I cant STAND it. I get everything but Im too lazy to study. Its bad. Although i dont have to worry about college for another 2-3 years, I feel like i need to get some stuff in like volunteering, theater, other sports, fine arts, yadah yadah yadah. I have friends that dont do anything and i feel bad for them. I have volleyball 2-3 nights a week. What are some really fun activities that get you in really good shape or are unique, fun, somewhat time consuming, and will make me look good? I am always afraid that other kids are far ahead of me and i could never do what they do.

I'm not necessarily sure whether it makes you "look good" to other people but the first thing on your mind when doing extracirricular stuff should be whether you enjoy it and not whether someone else approves. If you want an extremely fun sport that gets/keeps you in very good shape and is unique, I would recommend paintball. The downside of paintball is that it's not exactly cheap but you don't need to spend more than a hundred or two on the equipment to get started and then it's just buying paint.

Before I forget, I do want to applaud you for wanting to maintain A's in school and planning ahead for college. As far as volunteering goes, I volunteer at the local hospital myself and I see a lot of younger people (about your age, maybe a few years older) there as well so I think hospital volunteering is a hot ticket these days. I would also recommend trying to find a career (or major, whichever term you prefer) that interests you and then study parts about it when you get the chance.

Remember, don't worry about what others think of you or how you look good, focus on what's best for you!
