What kind of strings should I get for my violin?

What kind of strings should I get for my violin?

When I bought my violin it came with strings that I really like; however, I don't know what kind they are. The bottom wrappings are alternating red and black. My sister-in-law, who also plays violin, said she thinks they are Helicore. Does this sound right? Any information is appreciated.

Go down to your local strings shop or music store. I have a shop in my town where the man makes instruments right in his shop. If you have something like that they are very helpful and will answer any questions you have. Other then that I don't think it really matters what kind of strings you have.
