Question:

Should he be called "Saint Ludwig" as he was a Saint of Music?

After all, he almost committed suicide (see Heiligenstadt Letter). He decided to go on not for hinself, but for art. Some say he felt the hand of the Divine prohibit him from taking his own life.
He truly personified, "Ask not what your art can do for you, ask what you can do for your art?"
We would not have the glorious Ninth had he done himself in. A work which dictated the way C.D.s were constructed (a littlle over an hour, to accomodate it), one which has been performed at the fall of the Berlin Wall, on all Continents simultaneosly. Its "Ode an die Freude" is the EU Anthem. It is perhaps the most common answer to the question, "greatest classical work ever?"
I repeat - Should he be claaed Saint Ludwig for his selfless NOT taking of his own life, and for his VAST contributions to ART?

saehli, you are a boring, self-loving, ignorant, YES, ignorant, moron, who hates yourself. Perhaps you should consider ending your own life. ...One fewer damned self-important, annoying pedant....one fewer wart on society...Go ahaead, where is your resume, great one? I have mine, I simply chuse (and yes, that is a correct alternate- as for other misspellings, they are definitely the product of haste) NOT to list it. I'll just go ahead and say that I despise your stupid sort just as much as I admire Beethoven's great sort.

I assume you are talking about Beethoven. Although, a lot of people only know his last name. Well as Beethoven is my favorite, I don't know if I would say saint. However, he was the master. Bach and Handel were also spectatular composers. Anybody but that Mozart! Beethoven was the supreme architect in music. Maybe more like Beethoven the Titan!
