Anatomy Of Love

...baby, the pain left inside will never subside,
you know I still love you, you know I still care,
just realize what you did was unfair,
you torched me inside, you tore out my heart
we just need some time, some time to be apart,
I can give you a push, i can give you a shove,
just realize what you got, its not true love,
I hope you learned your lesson,
dont leave the one you love, for the one you like,
because sooner a later, he'll say take a hike!

but I've been left with nothing, i've lost it all,
its not my job to catch you when you fall,
we just need some time, some time to rewind,
what you did hurt, but im willing to forgive,
you've shattered my soul, my heart black as coal,
but the past is the past just let our love last.

i wish you could think of new ways to say the stuff that everyone says, like "you know i still love you you know i still care" That to me is what makes a poem great - someone finds a new way to say something that everyone says. your title is the anatomy of love, so maybe you could think of ways to relate human anatomy to love? and use analogies or words from anatomy to describe/say what you are feeling? otherwise i don't get the anatomy part of it. i like that it doesn't feel overworked though. i agree i'd like it better as a song I think.
