Bleaching homemade paper?

Question:

Bleaching homemade paper?

Does anyone know how or what to use to make home made paper white, besides the obvious in using white paper ? I really don't want to use bleach, if I can get away with it.

Based on your end-use, you could either use gesso to coat it or airbrush it with createx opaque white acrylic. or mix some white dry pigment into the water that is used in the paper making process.
