A free-verse poem about earthquacke?

Writing a poem? Don't give up! =) You can do it. Just make a list of things that describe earthquakes. Think about the five senses, colors, shapes, feelings, etc. Then take these ideas and form them into a poem! Remember, not all poems have to rhyme!

For example, if you had to write a poem about a rose, here are some brainstorming ideas: red, pink, soft, thorns, beautiful, fresh, exquisite, unique...

Then take the words and form it into something:
Exquistite, Unique
Soft petals, sharp thorns
... etc

Here is an example of a poem I won numerous awards for:
A crash of thunder shakes my body.
A bolt of lightning shocks my mind.
Trickles of raindrops kiss my skin,
Cool breezes whisper in my ear.
From all of the countless memories cherished each day,
Hugs from the benevolent wind,
The touch of the blazing sun,
The sight of the shimmering snow,
And the serenity of the fallen rain...
I??ve discovered amity hidden behind the silhouettes
of the graceful clouds.

Good luck!
